Module 12: Final Body of Work
Portfolio and Area of Specialisation
In today’s competitive photography industry, how you present your work is just as important as the work itself. Knowing where and how to pitch your business, identifying your target audience, and selecting the right format—whether print, portfolio boxes, custom books, or online platforms—are key steps. This module will guide you through planning and preparing a professional presentation tailored to your goals, whether in weddings, portraiture, commercial, editorial, or fine art photography.
Strong design and a clear visual identity make your work stand out. You will learn to define your style, research competitors, create layouts, and manage image selection and flow. We’ll cover both DIY and outsourced design options, as well as budget considerations and copyright implications, ensuring your portfolio effectively communicates your unique vision.
Feedback and refinement are essential for a polished presentation. You will engage with mentors, peers, and industry professionals to evaluate and improve your work. By the end of this module, you’ll be able to present your photography confidently, protect your copyright, and showcase your style to attract clients and opportunities aligned with your creative vision.
